Catia Céméus
Executive director / Founder
Catia Céméus is a successful entrepreneur, mentor and philanthropist, who has been working in the event management industry for the past ten years in Canada’s capital region. Her company, Kimdja Event Production and Design – Production et conception d’évènements, has organized several events for Francophone businesses and organizations in the nation’s capital. Her expertise and business acumen earned her the 2019 future hall of famer award from the national capital’s French business community’s Regroupement des gens d’affaires de la capitale nationale (RGA), as well as a nomination as citizen of the year for the prestigious Prix Bernard GrandMaître. Deeply committed to her community, Catia created and produces Les Mardis Philanthropes, a business networking series that runs twice a year, on a Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m., providing entrepreneurs the opportunity to network while giving back to their community, with a successful local business sponsoring an NPO of its choice as a fundraising initiative.
In her spare time, Catia reports on various businesses on Unique FM’s Le retour avec Michel Picard, and provides tips on event management on Rogers TV Ottawa’s Nat en Parle. Catia Céméus cares about Black francophone Canadian girls and women, hence her involvement as former president of the Regroupement Affaires femmes, the only intergenerational rally of its kind created by and for Black girls and women French-Canadians.
